With over a decade of executive experience at companies like Universal Music Group, Sony Music, MTV, and JRM Publishing, Keecia founded Rekodi Music with a clear mission: to reshape the music industry into one that genuinely serves musicians and their creative visions. As a qualified mediator specialising in intellectual property, she is dedicated to safeguarding the rights of creators.
Inspired by her father, Alton Ellis OD—a pioneer in Reggae and Rocksteady—Keecia’s deep-rooted love for music is matched by her commitment to empowering creatives. Through strategic partnerships with affiliates like Citysplash Festival, BMI, and Universal Music Publishing, Rekodi Music has launched songwriting residencies in world-renowned studios across the UK and a beautiful location in Jamaica.
